UNIVERSITY PARTNERS

Committed to providing the best possible education to our students, the Whitehead School has forged several strategic partnerships with international affairs programs at prestigious universities allowing for both faculty and student exchange. Currently, the School has formal relationships with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and the China Foreign Affairs University, Beijing, China. Along with Tufts, Harvard and many others, the School enjoys a relationship with the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs, a membership organization dedicated to the improvement of international relations education.

Moscow State Institute of International Relations

The School has recently forged a partnership with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in order to develop and strengthen traditional relations of friendship between Russia and the U.S. The partnership will endeavor to exchange students and faculty to take courses, train and attend conferences and symposia in each of the Universities. The Moscow State Institute of International Relations will work with the Whitehead School to create joint research programs and conferences. There will also be an exchange of publications and other materials to enhance classroom experience.

China Foreign Affairs University, Beijing

Seton Hall established academic exchange and cooperation with China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) in 2000. In May 2006, a Seton Hall delegation led by University President Monsignor Sheeran visited CFAU and was hosted by Ambassador Wu Jianmin, president of CFAU. Both sides agreed to deepen and expand the existing relationship to encourage various forms of faculty and student exchange programs, and as a result a memorandum of understanding was signed by both institutions during the The Whitehead School's inaugural study seminar to China. Possible programs, as a result of this agreement include study trips, exchange students, and short-term and long-term lectureships. The two sides are working closely to share a better understanding of international affairs education across the globe.

Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs

The Whitehead School is an affiliate of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), the well-established membership organization of graduate schools of international relations. Member schools include some of the most respected universities, i.e.: Yale, Harvard, Georgetown, Tufts, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, and the London School of Economics.
