5 SIMPLE STEPS TO PREPARE FOR YOUR INTERNSHIP

1. Submit a resume and preliminary data form to the Office of Internships and Career Development. Undergraduates should submit a resume and data form the second semester of sophomore year. Graduate students should do so by the end of the first year of study.
2. Match interests and career goals with an internship. Schedule an appointment with the Director of Internships and Career Development to discuss your interests and select appropriate organizations for which to apply.
3. Investigate the University’s Career Center on-line resource. See the Director to gain full access to this internships database.
4. Prepare applications. Have your applications reviewed and approved by the Office of Internships and Career Development prior to submission.
5. Enroll in internship course. Obtain a special permission registration form from the Director to enroll.

Students are also encouraged to regularly visit the University’s Career Center on-line resource to search for internship opportunities.
