CAMPUS LIFE
Since 1856, Seton Hall University has been providing a home for the mind, heart and spirit to students from all walks of life. Our student body comes from all over the world and their collective experiences help to deepen understanding of the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly global landscape. Students leave the Whitehead School with not only a superb academic education, but also having cultivated their emotional, cultural and spiritual growth.
The active campus provides entertainment, recreation, social, cultural, and learning activities for the close knit community
of 2,100 student residents and the Seton Hall commuters. The University Center houses student lounges and the Pirate’s Cove Café. The state-of-the-art Walsh Library is an excellent resource for students providing reading rooms, study areas, computer labs and wireless connection. Students use the Walsh Gym for its Olympic-size pool, a variety of intramural sports, club sports, aerobics classes and
open recreation.
Diplomacy students hold leadership positions in many of Seton Hall’s more than 100 student organizations, including News Editor for the Setonian, Seton Hall’s Student Newspaper, as well as a majority of the Student Senate and Academic Teaming Assistants, SHU’s resident student tutors. Our students are often Class Presidents and Vice Presidents in
the Student Government Association.
Students take full advantage of Seton Hall’s location, frequently taking the train for trips to New York City, the Jersey shore, malls, museums, concert halls, sports stadiums, and hiking trails throughout the metropolitan area. Seton Hall is located 14 miles southwest
of New York City on 58 acres at the foot of South Mountain. Easy access to the Amtrak train line is an invaluable asset for students. The School offers ongoing interaction with the international affairs community in New York and Washington in which students are afforded unique educational and professional opportunities.
