GLOBAL LEADERSHIP GALA
Each year, the Whitehead School of Diplomacy selects one exemplary individual that embodies global citizenship in his/her professional career and civic life. We celebrate the Global Citizen and his/her achievements at the School's annual Global Leadership Gala that draws together members of the United Nations diplomatic corps with leaders in government, business, academia and the nonprofit sector.
On December 1st, the Whitehead School honored his Eminence Theodore Cardinal McCarrick,
Archbishop Emeritus of Washington. The Global
Leadership Gala was held at Cipriani - Wall Street, and also served as the official kick-off of the School's 10th anniversary in 2007. To read more,

attracted over five hundred leaders from throughout
the metropolitan region and helped to raise more
than one-half million dollars for the School’s
